To utilize backups in fantasy team, select a maximum of 4 backup players (ranked in priority order from 1 to 4) after forming your main team. If a player in your starting XI is listed but does not participate, the highest-priority backup from the corresponding position (wicket-keeper, batter, all-rounder, bowler) will automatically take their place. How to Add Backup Players: Create Team: Form your 11-player team as usual. Add Backups: Click the “Backup” button on the team preview screen.
- Select Players: Choose up to 4 substitutes. Prioritize: Arrange them (1, 2, 3, 4) according to who you wish to enter the team first.
- Key Rules for Backups: Automatic Replacement: If a selected player is in the “Announced” starting lineup but does not play, the backup feature is activated.
- Position Matching: A backup player must correspond to the position of the non-playing player.
- Points: The replacement player will earn points for the entire match, including starting points. If several players in your team are unannounced, backups will be filled in order of priority (1, then 2, etc.)
