- Maitree Express-If you wish to go to Bangladesh, you can easily take the train. The Maitri Express is an international border train that runs from Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, to Kolkata in India. This is a railway link between India and Bangladesh that operates six days a week in both directions. This train traverses around 375 kilometers in less than 9 hours. The train also passes over two significant river crossings: the 100-year-old Hardinge Bridge over the Padma River and the Bangabandhu Bridge across the Jamuna River. Both river crossings are in Bangladesh. This rail ticket is booked from Kolkata and requires a valid Bangladesh visa.
- BANDHAN EXPRESS-This train also determines the travel between India and Bangladesh; in fact, it is the second train that connects the two countries. This international express train service, inaugurated in 2017 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, travels weekly between the Indian city of Kolkata and the Bangladeshi city of Khulna. A valid visa and passport are required before purchasing a Bandhan Express train ticket. Tickets are available at the Khulna Railway Station in Bangladesh and the Chitpur Station in Kolkata, India. The train stops in Jessore for three minutes to pick up passengers. The Bandhan Express is the first train to connect Kolkata and Khulna since the Barisal Express, which was discontinued in 1965 due to the Indo-Pakistan War.
- Mitali Express-It is a weekly international express train service that connects two Indian cities, Jalpaiguri and Siliguri, with Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka. On March 2021, the two neighboring countries’ Prime Ministers officially launched the ten-coach non-stop passenger train on the new approximately 513 km line from Dhaka, the day Bangladesh celebrated its Golden Jubilee of Independence. To purchase a Mithali Express train ticket, you must first get a valid visa and passport.
- PORTUGAL EXPRESS-It operates twice a week, making it a bi-weekly train. It runs between Lahore in Pakistan and Delhi and Attari in India. It began operation for the first time in 1976 and ran every day until 1994. You can pick up your train ticket from Attari Junction in Amritsar, but you’ll need a valid Pakistani visa to do so. This train only makes one stop in Punjab, at Wagah station. Due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, this service was suspended in 2019 and will remain suspended until further notice.
