List of Bank Holidays in India 2024 pdf

Bank Holidays across India are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. This is a move designed to provide banking employees with regular weekends off and improve work-life balance. Previously, Saturdays were half days for banks. However, as per the Reserve Bank of India Guidelines, from September 1, 2015, the second and fourth Saturdays of each month have been classified as whole days off. Consequently, all commercial, regional, rural, scheduled, and non-scheduled banks in India remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
